Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ awards honorary degrees to individuals who have made major contributions to their field.
Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵ grants honorary degrees approved by the University System of Maryland Board of Regents to outstanding individuals who have made major contributions in intellectual, scholarly, or creative areas. Honorary degrees are also awarded to those who have risen to a position of eminence, acquired a national or international reputation, or compiled a record of distinguished public service in a selected field of endeavor.
