With barely a week’s notice, seven educators packed their bags and flew on Oct. 2, 1949, to Heidelberg, Germany, to launch an overseas education program.
Because of Alexander Abel’s three-pronged “Sprouting Sustainability” project, he has become the first ĢƵ student named a Langenberg Legacy Fellow by the University System of Maryland.
