MSCHE is recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education to conduct accreditation and pre-accreditation activities for institutions of higher education, including distance learning, correspondence education, and direct assessment programs, throughout the United States. MSCHE’s most recent action for ĢƵ was a reaffirmation of accreditation status on November 20, 2025. ĢƵ is a constituent institution of the University System of Maryland and is governed by the USM Board of Regents.
